My ankles ache, of all things. I think it's the going up and down stairs, and falling down a fligth of steps inside the Philosophy building yesterday. Eek.
I've been wandering around Vaclav Namesti and various places. Bridgett and I plan to go to Mass every weekend in a different church. I think St. Vitus is near the dorm and has a Latin Mass, which I would really love to hear. St. Joseph made me cry, it was so overwhelmingly beautiful. This goes beyond anything I've ever seen.
Walking around this city, I get chills thinking about everything I know. Standing in the Metro station where Hana had her first job, walking the square where people waited out the Communists, standing inside a church that has existed longer than my own country... I love this place. I feel like I could stay here so long. I hear music everywhere.
The Kolej Komenskeho was built by Soviets I'm sure. It feels Soviet. We have a ghost in our room who opens and closes the doors. I just wish the shower would drain properly.
The camera is not working, and I don't know what is wrong. Something. Damn it.
My comphrension of Czech is getting better, as I listen to people in the street, in the pubs, at school. More and more it makes sense. We're going out tonight, dancing somewhere that Lee promises is great. I spent last night drinking vodka with Eric and telling crazy stories. I think if I keep moving and remember to sleep when I get tired, I won't be too homesick.
