I'm three days from New York City and I'm three days from you

This entry brought to you by spirited singing along with They Might Be Giants in the car today. I drove to work super early, because I intend to leave early. So there. All annoyances of idiots in Lexuses aside, I enjoy my morning commute because it's fifteen minutes of pure alone time with music and the car gliding over the rolling freeway.

So people of the interweb, lurkers on the inter-tubes, I am going to NYC on Tuesday morning. I'm going to be there for six days. The biggest thing I have planned is Snakes in a Museum on SAturday at the history museum, and I think I might go see Cobra Starship Tuesday night. Other than that, my schedule is pretty open. I also intend to visit at least one of the uber-hip coffee places I saw in a recent NY Times article to settle a bet that Tyler and I have. At some point, I will go consume lots of alcohol because it makes me laugh when I see bars up there selling Lone Star. I hope that while I'm there I will get to see many of my east coasts friends.

I have those pre-trip butterflies already. Last night before my stupid neighbor work me up by arguing outside with his girlfriend, I dreamed I was already there.

Let me know about the Lone Star night so I can join in the laughter when the bartender says how much they are.

You should go to the Trailer Pak bar, in Manhattan, on 23rd, between 7th ave & 8th ave (right off 8th)-

Best bar food-cheesburgers, sweet potato fries, tater tots.

And they have lots of cool crap. It's like that 50's restaurant from Pulp Fiction, but without dancing. And the waitresses don't wear costumes.
