paularubia has tried it and definitely does not recommend it. Her review:

Fried Coke - the most hyped of this year's fair food. Basically, it consists of donut holes made from batter infused with Coke syrup. About 10 of these are placed in a plastic cup, Coke syrup is poured over the top, then it's topped with whipped cream, cinnamon sugar and a cherry. The donut holes on the top were great. The ones at the bottom of the cup were a soggy, mushy, Coke-y mess. Yuck.
