I woke up at 6am sweating and scared from very bad dreams about the yakuza, a fight with a friend, and someone sawing my precious bookshelf in half. It was not an ideal way to start. I've been sort of queasy and off kilter all day. We're having massive computer problems at work, the training room is frigid, and it's grey out there. I just want to go home and go back to bed with my book.

I had Romanian food last night in a restaraunt called Drakula that was constantly playing O-Zone. I kid you not. The delicious meat, cabbage and sour cream reminded me painfully of Prague, and I think I'll have to eat there a lot from now on. Evzen, they even have fried cheese. You really need to come down here.

Re-reading The Engineer of Human Souls which is a large tome that makes me look educated and literate. It's really just one of the most beautiful novels about living ever made. Skvorecky makes me happy, deep down. His stories are often very bittersweet, and they don't skimp on the painful aspects of life. They are beautiful though, making it all worthwhile.

What is that sauce they put on it? I must find a recipe. That shit sustained me for a week! Well, that and the beer.

So fried cheese sounds yummy. Where there other vegetarian options?

Mmm, I'm not really sure that the place is very vegetarian friendly. I think fried cheese and potato will be the best option.

I am so glad you enjoy it. It makes me happy when I can share the book love. You would also enjoy Republic of Whores, because it is so funny.

Sorry the day is grey and boring. Perhaps <a href="http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5578681159119917794&q=mr+t+foo&hl=en>fighting foo's</a> will make it better?

Never read the book or had Romanian food, but now I'll have to try them both - yikes, my list of things to do is getting long!

I heard her order another beer, and felt my soul cringe a little.

That reminds me. I woke up sweating, too. That's something I pretty much never do. I tend to be cold, especially while sleeping, but I woke up drenched twice last night. Weird.

Romanian food?

Wow. Damn. Is it similar to Polish or Hungarian?

I'd say it is very similar to most things of that region. There's fried cheese, schnitzels, various combinations of meat potato and cabbage, and goulash. It's pretty hearty and delicious.
