Driving home this evening, I stopped at the light behind a white sports car with a vanity plate that read "ITS HAL." I laughed so hard I almost killed the engine by letting off the clutch.
I never knew I wanted a sun roof in the car until I had this car. There's something so viscerally pleasing about driving in this cold weather with the sun roof open, and the heat just barely on inside. I turn up the stereo to let the sound wash over me and into the dark. Driving in the winter night means everything is a little bundle of lights, red and white. Gods above, it feels good.
Drinks with Sarah, a surprise visit from Miss Natalie, and a phone call from Daina. The past two hours have made the previous eight melt away.
