of cats and rings

This morning I left for work, running later than usual. As I locked the front door there was an insistent meowing from the stairs. A dark grey cat with long fur and green eyes came running. The cat was quite friendly, and talkative. I don't think I've ever seen it outside before. I thought maybe the cat was hungry, so I gave it some salmon in a package that I had sitting in the cupboard. I wonder where the cat came from, and what the story is.

My friends Jim and Elisa are engaged. Jim, ever the hopeless romatic, proposed on Christmas Eve at a vacation by the sea. I am so glad for them, as they seem so suited and happy together.

awww...thanks.
So what happened to the cat? Could he ever leave anyone who gave him salmon?

I am so happy for you!

Well, I petted the kitty and left while he was still eating. Maybe he will come back. Maybe I'll have to adopt the kitty.

Don't tell Tyler if you do. He'd just tie it by its tail to the balcony railing.

Nothing like adopting cute fuzzies. That's how we got our first cat. But he adopted us. Or maybe he just liked our apartment.
