when you sleep at night, they can't hear your cries back in your own world

Okay, I'll cop to being mildly disturbed by the past five minutes. I have a two inch wide, oval shaped bruise with a quarter inch cut in the center. It wasn't there yesterday, and I know I haven't had any of my regular extracurricular activities that lead to injuries since Sunday. It also happens to be right where I got stabbed in my dream.

Maybe you hit your leg/hit it on something in your sleep and your brain registered the pain as a stab wound? If not, very weird.

I try to keep the bed area free of pointy corners and objects for my own peace of mind, but I'm hoping this is the explanation.

Maybe you scratched yourself in your sleep in reaction to the violence in the dream?

Did you roll on something in the middle of the night? My dad dreamt that he ate his watch once, and when he woke up in the morning he couldn't find it.

I usually dream about people wailing, but when I wake up it's only the cat wanting kitty milk.
