I made coffee in my new coffee pot (giant 8 cup french press type) and it was superbly delicious. Plus, I had a large coffee cup to use. Mmmm coffee.

Last night I had way too much to drink, told funny stories to a German man in a bar, listened to Rammstein at volume, ate fried pickles and mushrooms for dinner and hit someone in the face. All in all, a productive night I would say!

Also why on god's green earth is it thirty seven degrees outside? Why?

I asked myself the same thing. It's April. It's April in Texas and we drove home from lunch in sleet. (I demanded and received Cheddar's chicken pot pie, which is honestly the best version of chicken pot pie I've ever had.)

I knew we were supposed to be mostly rainy this weekend, but I don't recall anything about a new freakin' ice age. I'm going to have to watch the evening news to see how the weatherpeople explain themselves. You'd think we would have had a week of "pets, plants, pipes" warnings before this sort of thing. Luckily, the hubby wanted chili this weekend, so we're reasonably well prepared for cold-weather eating.
