my relationship becomes a WoW anaology, or how I accidentally won a board game

Last night we played Settlers of Catan with some friends. I feel a little guilty because I sort of won by accident. I was just playing along, trading on whims and doing my thing until suddenly I was winning. Ooops. I know that must be horrible and annoying. But when I play games with my friends, I have this big rush of non-competitive-ness. Except for cards. I get sort of crazy with the Shanghai. It was super fun though. I like this game.

It was a good evening. I organized even! Well, I invited four other people plus Mike to come eat dinner at a restaurant so I didn't have to cook or do dishes. It was awesome. There was delicious, delicious Curra's and witty conversation and generalized evil.

Today I slept WAYWAYWAY too late, and so I feel kind of frantic. But I'm off to go visit my mother, and then hopefully there is cardplaying in my future. My morning improved signficantly after Mike made me breakfast and a hot bath. Mmm hashbrowns. In the tub. With coffee. Score. As my good friend rockstarbob said, yay for leveling!

I just learned to play yesterday! I love it! Though I hate having to eb the one to move the Robber, because ack!

I haven't played Dungeoneer. Is it like Dungeon Keeper at all?

Also, I had no idea you played Shanghai. It's one of the only card games I played regularly as a kid, and I love it. Not that I really remember it, but these things come back. Next time we're in the same place, we should get a big group together and play it.
