I've eaten pretty well here, many omelets full of crawfish and shrimp. I tasted the platonic ideal of french toast today, and had a lot of coffee. It's a good thing. I just came back from the lesbian pool party, and there was much swimming. This morning I went to Cedar's drabble panel and it was the awesome. Tonight is authors and artists night, which I am very much looking forward to and involving lots of fun things. For now, I debate the purchase of yet more candy and the outcome of today's Preakness.

If you have a chance, go to Felix's in the Garden District, and then go next door and get ice cream at the Creole Creamery. If they have the chocolate bourbon praline flavor, you MUST try it.

Also, for the absolute best jambalaya in New Orleans, go to Coop's Place on Decatur near Gov. Nichols, across from the French Market. It looks scary, and you shouldn't look too closely at your food, but it's absolutely delicious. Plus they have a bulldog. :)

There is/was a pasta place called angels I loved to eat at . I'm not sure if it's still there. :)
