Does anyone honestly take the president seriously anymore? Iran? Calling Jimmy Carter "sad" and "irrelevant?" Oh, my, stars. Jimmy Carter may not have been the most brilliant president of the 20th century but he does a lot of good work with his life right now that has a positive impact on ordinary people instead of the Haliburton shareholders. Ugh. Reading the news makes me want to throw things.
In less grim news, I signed up for the
me_rse ficathon because I need a small short term goal. I am bad about being rigorous or dedicated when it comes to writing. Quite honestly, most of the time I finish the story in my head and since I know how it ends I see little incentive to actually write it down. If only I had a psychic connection to my word document, and did not rely on these fragile fingers.
All I can think about is going home and taking a bath.
