threeplusfireMy alarm must having been going off for at least two solid minutes before Mike woke me up. I don't think I've ever slept through my alarm before. I feel a bit off kilter today already. I turned up the Rammstein mix cd Mike gave me on the drive to work, in hopes that I could armor my head in steely German indifference. I'm not sure it is working yet.
Perhaps it was the dreaming. The large part of the dream I remember involved going to a meal Anthony Bourdain was preparing. I helped him drug a guy about 23 or 24 years old because Bourdain was going to barbecue him. Now, I have no idea why the hell this was happening. I'm not sure if we ever got that done, because our main course was very reluctant. There was also a mermaid in the lake, and I took a first class flight home instead of the Ukraine Air from the Hobby port. Well. Maybe I shouldn't read the Les Halles cookbook so close to bedtime.
