I can't be the only person who makes cookies on a Saturday afternoon while listening to Apoptygma Berzerk cover one of my favorite Marilyn Mason songs, VNV Nation, and Razed in Black. Can I? Maybe this is just the suburban-too-shy-to-even-hang-with-the goth-kids-and-too-tan-anyway self rising up again after ten years. But I can think of few afternoons so nice as this - in my kitchen barefoot and swaying back and forth while I try to cream butter and sugar by hand to make chocolate & peanut butter chip cookies. If only every day could be this easy.

(Note: if you're nutty enough to cream butter by hand cause your friend is using your KitchenAid mixer, make sure the handle of whatever you are using is comfortable. Ow.)

Man, I have totally cooked whilst listening to VNV Nation, possibly Apoptygma Berserk as well! (I can't say for certain as to the last, but the crazy ex played AB frequently and I definitely cooked freqently, and I often listen to music while cooking.)
