It occurred to me only after I pulled out of the parking lot that driving while under the influence of anti-anxiety medication, anesthetic and nitrous was probably a bad idea. I made it home without anything weird happening. It took an hour to get the crown back on. There was the laser/water tool, and then they also wound a piece of wire around my tooth to pull the inflamed gum tissue back. From now on I'm supposed to walk around swilling saltwater or mouthwash at every opportunity. I need a flask.

The saltwater is for the gums, and I only have to do that until they heal. The crown has come off because there isn't much tooth for it to hang onto, and the tooth was really small to start with. Gah.

Once I was stubborn enough to drive thirty miles on the highway in the blinding sunlight after having my eyes dialated for an examination and had a headache from unintentional caffiene withdrawl that I was treating with a 20 ounce coffee and then the cellphone starts to ring and its the U.S. Patent Office letting me know that the company I was working for had just been awarded like the five millionth patent or something and I finally had the good sense to pull off the highway when I understood I couldn't see, I had a cellphone in one hand and big cup of hot coffee in the other and was probably doing about 70 mph.
