I had to find a pencil sharpener for the first time in a decade today

I have spent the majority of my day doing things that do not involve taking calls. I did take one call this morning that while mildly annoying, was easy enough. Then I spent a couple hours organziing and cleaning up some paperwork for a supervisor. After that, and a delicious bagel, I spent the next four hours creating a crossword puzzle for my supervisor. She wanted to have something for people to do at our unit meeting and she will give prizes to people for completing it. It's actually a pretty complex crossword puzzle, not just a few words connected a random points. I have a couple dense blocks in there with words down and across. Writing a crossword puzzle is tricky. I have a new respect for people who create them.

Last night I had a dream that someone robbed the apartment. Along with the electronics, they took our pets. It was weird and distressing.

This weekend I need to get a LOT of writing done. I have multiple things on deadline and over deadline and just bursting at the seams. Argh. The LJ fiasco put a cramp in my fanfic writing and I need to rework that.

Hee. Pencils are completely foreign to me. My old roommate uses them all the time. Actually prefers them. I think she might be from another planet.

Pencils normally make me uncomfortable, and I just don't like using them. They feel dusty. But figuring out the arrangement and spacing of that crossword was so so so much easier when I could erase.

I was using mechanical pencils back in high school for math. Learned pretty quickly in college (engineering major) that mechanical pencils with a click eraser is awful important. :)

I still carry a nice Zebra pen/pencil set and a click eraser in my laptop bag .
