Far too much time has passed since I last ate sushi. For the record, Mushashinos is closed on Mondays. (which reminds me of Prague, where that is more common) So Bob and I went to Sushi Sake, I think. The name's floating out of my head.
A sashimi plate, cucumber salad and green tea ice cream. Oh, such a meal. I could eat that every day. All those tender morsels, wasabi, tea, crunchy cucumber slices... yum. Especially the octopus, and the cappucino ice cream Bob ordered. (For which is probably still shaking his fist at me about, ha.) Wonderful meal. We wound up sitting a table away from a woman I used to work with at PcO, and I cracked a joke about things catching on fire just to see her give a little twitch. I don't think she could have recognized me last night, between the short fluffy hair and Karen's dress up clothes. Which were great fun too. How often do I get to wear a red skirt with slits up the sides? not often enough.
I think we should have a girl night where we all get dressed up and go to a club or out for dinner, in slinky fabulous clothes. I know we've talked about this before, but now it really needs to happen. And afterwards, we can go to Metro in our ballgowns and it would be a riot.
Seitvonzu and I need some fancy hats, and have a big Kentucky Derbey party. That's such a fantasy of mine, because I was raised to love this ghost of Southern culture. My mom and I watched the races together, and I've always wanted to be in that crowd with a drink in my hand, betting on the horses.
Need to go stretch out and run around the apartment building. My back aches a little bit, but I think it will be fine once I curl myself up in that odd back bend we used to do in gymnastics class. I want to go back to the gym and go swimming.
