horse races

Work felt eight years long. At least there were sandwiches. I made brownies with butterscotch. Then we left a little early. When I walked out of the office, it felt the same as morning - still warm and slightly sticky. By the time I made it home it had dropped several degrees. Finally, we might have some autumn weather.

When I got home, I found that Mike bought me a pony. I have named him Ormonde, after a British racehorse of the late 19th century. He is very soft and large. No one has purchased me a pony since I was about eight, I believe. My two earliest stuffed animals were ponies, a golden one I called Baby Pony and a larger brown one called Daddy Pony. Don't ask me, I was four. I have no idea why I named them so. I also had a bunch of Breyer Horses. My mother loves horses. I've maybe only ridden a half dozen times in my life, but I love it.

The running joke since I got divorced was that I wasn't going to marry again unless someone bought me a pony. Haha.

Awwwwww.

On a less awww note I know your teeth haven't been your friends for a while? Mine decided randomly to torture me tonight, to the point where I woke up and can't get back to sleep and--

Do you know off hand how much a cavity is? The internet is not being helpful.

This would happen T Day weekend when I'm 800 miles from home.

I can't help with cost because I've got dental insurance, but I did experience a cracked tooth while 1200 miles away at a friend's wedding.

Prescription strength Motrin is 800mg (4 regular pills), and you can take it every 4-6 hrs. It put a good-sized dent in the pain, for me... but then eating wasn't the whole point of the day, so ymmv. (Don't overindulge in ibuprofin-type painkillers if you have kidney problems, though, because it's metabolized by the kidneys. Look sad and see if anyone has some old Tylenol-3 to donate to you instead.)

I hope you can still enjoy your visit, and get your mouth fixed asap. Tooth pain sucks.

Thank you=)

Pain pills are my friends.

I think it varies, kinda depending on the area - you can get a temporary filling pretty cheap though, $60 to $80 in most places.

One time when I thought I had tooth pain, it turned out to be my jaw muscles. Weird.

Actually my jaw has been making popping noises lately....

Sigh.

But looking back on your horse post, I had some of those horses! But my mom threw them out.

so what'cha gonna name the new one? I have a "pet frog" I named Comrade Gribbit. I am old and have no excuse.

p.s. autumn has been officially canceled. Don't you read the Onion?

p.p.s. careful, this horse thing might mean your man is the marring kind. Or the Equus kind. o.O

-happy thanksgiving-
