happy thanksgiving

I cooked a Thanksgiving dinner this evening, pork roast with garlic and black pepper, mashed potatoes with caramelized onions and cranberries. The mashed potatoes came out amazing - roughly two pounds of onions reduced down with a stick of butter and splash of bourbon and then mixed into the potatoes. I'm full and exhausted. The kitty is sleeping on the sofa beside me. I have a four day weekend ahead of me. In this cold weather I'm going to read, maybe make some cookies and just relax.

Yay for potato lust! (I think the trick to having caramelized onion mashed potatoes is to have equal poundage of potato and onion.)
