give me your recs

Alright, I know many of my friendslist are more knowledgeable than me. I love Ghost in The Shell, and Vampire Hunter D. I've watched Lain and I grew up with the original Aeon Flux shorts on Liquid Television. What I want are recommendations for your favorite anime, manga, etc. Tell me. Share! I need things to watch.

Blood: the Last Vampire is an awesome movie, one of my favorites right up there with Ghost in the Shell. the series that spawned afterwards, Blood+, is also good, but tends to get whiny.

Bleach is amazing, if you enjoy fight scenes. there's tons of character development, but it's a slow-paced, action-oriented series. but the main character develops through fighting a seemingly-endless lineup of opponents.

Tenchi Muyo is hit and miss, but the Tenchi Muyo in Love movie is awesome. comedy and good action, lots of fun.

Samurai Champloo is an interesting twist on the anime genre, definately worth seeing.

if you like the Miyazaki films, you'd probably also like Last Exile. i've only ever seen the first 10 or so episodes, but that's only because the local video store only had those, and i've had trouble downloading it, for some reason. kinda whimsical, but lots of fun.

Last Exile is fantastic! Have you ever seen Eureka 7? I think it has some of the same creative team. Good stuff.
