I slept badly last night, waking up aching and covered in sweat. This morning I felt so dizzy I could hardly stand in the shower. I managed to sleep all day, except for a three hour window around noon. This is rather uncharacteristic. I feel okay now.

We bought a tiny Christmas tree. It has LED bulbs, little red and gold decorations, and tiny fake cardinals on the branches. I love it. I need to wrap Mike's gifts.

I like little trees. I'm still inordinately fond of the "Peanuts" tree I had for my college dorm rooms... it's about 3.5' tall, and my set of 3 different sizes of iridescent glass bulbs (I call them my soap bubble ornaments) perfectly filled up the tree and made it look cheerful.

I need to wrap gifts too. Rick is leaving in half an hour to go see some other movie by the director of Poultrygeist, and my parents will be here between 11 and midnight (it's not a two day trip in the MINI, which can break land speed records across Louisiana). So I have 2 hrs to get everything wrapped that one or both sets of people aren't allowed to see.

You are describing pretty much what I go through daily, minus the Chriastmas tree. Odd bit, that.
