ring
Here is my wonderful, shiny ring. Photographing this was quite difficult. It has quite a shine in the light, and makes a constellation of reflections.
I saw Earrings and Necklaces and such at Pike Place Market today that were made from Mt. Saint Helens "emerald obsidian" which were gorgeous. But they didn't have visible prices and I'd just spent all but my last quarter, so... Heh. I'm going back soon, though.
Did you know that colored stones (not diamonds) were prefered until late in the 19th century, when improvements in lighting allowed the diamonds to shine? I still prefer colored stones.
