ring Here is my wonderful, shiny ring. Photographing this was quite difficult. It has quite a shine in the light, and makes a constellation of reflections.

It's lovely!

Did you know that colored stones (not diamonds) were prefered until late in the 19th century, when improvements in lighting allowed the diamonds to shine? I still prefer colored stones.

Fascinating! I knew the switch to white dresses was a more modern thing, but I had no idea about the rings. I confess a deep amusement that I'm doing something very "traditional" while everything else isn't!
