From here:

Miss Ang you said it so well. *tips furry Russian hat in your direction*

The greatest thing about music, and many other forms of art, is that the meaning is not etched in stone. There is meaning for the artist, meaning for the record company salesman and meaning for the listener. Sometimes, even the most artifical pop songs can touch a chord in you. That, I think, is beautiful.

I still listen to my Guns N Roses cds, though often when I'm completely alone as to avoid certain mockery. Because, "Don't Cry" still moves me, and "Sweet Child O' Mine" still makes me want to dance around my room singing. Yes, I still know all the words to "Welcome to the Jungle" and oh yeah, I know how to tease my hair into an 80s cloud of silliness... But damn it all, that music has meant something to me.

Right on Miss Ang, right on.

Hehe, indeed. More middle school memories for me, but close enough. ;)
