trips

Yesterday I dropped Mike at the airport, so he can spend a week in South Carolina with his family. Apparently there is drama, since we have only invited our parents to the wedding and not extended family. I'm sad. It's lonely here, and the floor creaks.

Today I had to take Koshka to the vet. It turned into a very expensive trip. He either has some kind of kitty allergy, or a nerve problem in this one patch of skin that he keeps biting. He has to wear a kitty collar to keep him from chewing any more. It's not like the lampshade, hard ones. It looks more like he's wearing a little blue cape. He quite clearly hates it, and is mad at me. There were shots and blood draws and a car ride. No kitty sleeping in my lap tonight. Sigh.

Right now I'm trying to decide if I want to finish up on the ceremony writing, or if I want to go eat lunch and read a book. It's a nice day outside.

*glares at extended family for teh drama* That kind of stuff is inevitable, I think. But if you want a small wedding, stick to that. You can always have a party later in SC for all of them.

*pets the kitty*

Hey, do what you want for your ceremony! It's Yours, you know? Like [livejournal.com profile] avidbeader said, some of that crap is inevitable. I didn't even HAVE a wedding and I'm still hearing about it.

(Also, I secretly want photos of Koshka in his pretty blue cape, but I am guessing he wouldn't appreciate that too much.)

Pfffft family.

Which is so much easier to say but....

[smacks them]

Your wedding. Yours.

My extended family didn't mind that they weren't at our wedding, at least 4 years on I haven't heard anything about it.

Those who matter won't mind and those who mind don't matter.
