Going to the grocery store in the rain wouldn't be half as bad if people in SUVs didn't motor through large puddles at speed, splashing the passerby with dirty water. How thoroughly charming. It made me want to shove that woman's face and her designer handbag into the water as if I were disciplining a puppy. Well, on the up side I procured supplies for baked ziti and ice cream sundaes as well as a chocolate marshmallow pie. Life isn't all bad.

Baked ziti sounds good... I have to go out for a doctor's appointment tomorrow (convenient, since I woke this morning with one eye swelled shut from allergies), and I think I might track down osso buco ingredients. I've never tried making it, but the weather upcoming this week seems to call for something warm and hearty.
