(no subject)

On Wednesday I drove home and was generally too worn to do much of anything serious. I took a long nap, ate dinner at Luby's and watched some Deadwood Season One as well as Project Runway. (Okay, I don't understand why Kors & Garcia were so weirded out by the use of human hair extensions in March's collection. Um, hello, fur and leather?) I am somewhat disappointed by Rami's win. I was hoping the Golden Boy wouldn't run off with it after being such a one note pony all season. I would totally rather wear Chris March's clothing and I bet of all the designers he is the one most likely to make his stuff in a size to fit me. Meh.

Mike's grandfather Fred and his wife Emily gave us a very generous wedding present, so we went shopping this afternoon. I now have *two* Calphalon omelet pans, a copper star shaped cookie cutter, three different jelly roll/sheet pans, an 8 inch square pan, a set of new mixing bowls with pouring lips, two vegetable knives, some giant towels, a towel rack to hang on the back of the door, a shower caddy, a mirror, a new bed pillow, a body pillow & microsuede cover, a lint brush, some other little things and a couple candy bars. I need to write my thank you note soon.

The body pillow with the microsuede cover... mmm. Rick loves his.

The other stuff sounds great, but if our experience is anything to go by, the body pillow is the one that will inspire the most fervent devotion. =)

Chris rocks; he is my inner gay man. I yelled at the television.

I, too, was confused at the "gag reflex" of the human hair. Hello?! That's what the best wigs and hair extensions are made of. He said "hair" after all, not "scalps." I thought it was innovative and pretty and I adored his 95% goth 5% costume theme.
