threeplusfireDriving this afternoon, I was behind a pickup with a large number of bumpersticks with slogans like 'Defeat Jihad.' (Though what that really means I couldn't say.) It reminded me of the hospital and how they had a large number of posters and stickers all over that said 'Freedom isn't free.' Well no kidding. Freedom isn't free, but nor is it bought with the wages of fear. (Can you think of *anyone* who joined the military because they were afraid?) Freedom is paid for with hope and nobility and bravery, which is just about the opposite of our current preseident and his goon squad.
The wind is coming from the north but the sky is sun washed blue like the promise of summer. I meant only to buy a pair of sneakers. I came home with a pair of summer shoes that are covered in cherries. Also, a vanilla lime slush which is possibly the best flavor ever.
