There Will Be Blood

Mike has wanted to see this movie for some time, and I felt bad about dragging my feet so we caught it this evening at the Draft House. It is a well crafted and unique film, but not something I think I want to watch again. Partially because the soundtrack is so jarring and atonal, but also because Paul Dano's performance as Eli Sunday is so intense that I felt true repulsion for the character. Mike was a bit disappointed because he "expected more Deadwood and less Citizen Kane."

it was alright, wasn't it? i went to see no country for old men the night before i saw this so it's a little unfair for me to say it was only mildly entertaining.
