Wildflowers are blooming, blue, pink, red, yellow, white and purple. Sometimes you can hardly see the green of the grass. The sky leaving town was swathed in gauzy white, and this morning it rippled with indigo shadowed clouds. I bought $40 of kolache in Ellinger, and if the price of gas wasn't what it is, I would drive down there every week.

They are the most wonderful! Have you been out there since they renovated the bathrooms? They are super nice, hotel like. Apparently they are also going to expand to have more seating and such.

I really need to cave in and buy a tshirt at Hruska's next time. And more kolache, and those chewy maple walnut balls....
