I know something's going on

I've been up since 4am, writing. I need to work on Kythryne's press kit some more too. But I at least finished two things that had deadlines this week. I've been lax at updating my journal. We did just get a camera, so soon I can just spam lolcat photos of Koshka.

My closest friends are all very far away. It is hard not to be painfully lonely sometimes. I drove on Mopac yesterday, shouting Bad Religion lyrics over the sound of the radio and the open windows.

I hear you. All my friends and loved ones are far away. For the most part, it's been like this for a while. And whenever I make a friend, one of us has to leave because it's the nature of the game. I'm so tired of it.

You reminded me of a sad breakup I went through in '02, where I did it for my own good (after nearly 6 yrs)...and I'd drive around shouting and crying to Bad Religion in my car too on Mopac. Especially "Sorrow". Some years later I went to a BR show at Stubbs, and the lead singer said it was his favorite song.

It was Sorrow I was listening to yesterday. Spooky.

That IS spooky.

I sang along (cried along sometimes) to that song every day on the drive home from work downtown to the Arboretum area for a while. Very therapeutic, that song.

The other song I'd listen to is "Hold Me Tight" by Wendy Colonna, but that is a local songwriter song.
