This is the oldest I have ever been

I haven't written all weekend, or played WoW, though I did finally run the Roomba this morning and take out the trash. The kitchen, I don't want to deal with today. I figured eventually I would have to update, as much as I feel reluctant to do so. It is my birthday today, and I am older now. Older, with new scars and another scrap of hard won knowledge. I spent a lot of time this weekend wishing I could just pack up and move to Seattle for various reasons. Tyler was here, a contributing factor. We visited the lake and ate our favorite foods and were lazy. Gene's here too, the same as ever in most ways. I miss the life we once had, all in the same city.

Last night I finally got around to watching the season finale of House. It made me so sad. I had a hard time getting to sleep, thinking about the bypass tubes. I thought the actress who played Amber did an amazing job of conveying so much with her facial expressions, and so naturally.

having just celebrated my 30th a few days ago (Geminis will one day rule the world), i agree wholeheartedly. i just keep telling myself that age is mostly irrelevant and that the knowledge is worth the scrabbling and splinters it took to get it, but sometimes that feels hollow.
