Yesterday there was yard work. Mike found a reel mower he liked and trimmed the yard. I pushed it around and it is surprisingly much easier than I would have imagined. Our yard is not very big, so it would be excessive to have a big gas or electric powered mower. No noise is nice too.

I waited until twilight to go out and water the dry patches of the lawn. The hose is new and stiff, resisting my efforts to coil it. I also took the clippers to the gigantic rosemary bush. It was attempting to creep over the AC unit and around the corner of the house. While trimming some of the dead undergrowth, I discovered green onions growing underneath it. Meanwhile if anyone needs rosemary please come to my house as I have it by the bale.

Bring me some stalks long enough to use as skewers for grilling?

How many would you like?

Hmm, 4? Two skewers each sounds about right (unless they're really long, then just one each). Thanks!

excellent use for excess rosemary-- use it to skewer shrimp-- it imparts excellent flavor! just cut about 4-6 inch branches, strip the leaves 2/3rds of the way -- cute and oh so yum :)
