Okay, I really just was going to Petsmart to buy food and such. But a rescue group was having an adoption fair, and there were lots of kitties. I stopped to look at an orange tabby. It was all over. He was enormous, twice the size of the other cats with incredibly long legs and giant paws. He wasn't gregarious, but the moment I started to pet him he purred and kneaded the blanket with his paws. Flop, roll, flop, purr purr purr. He's adorable!

So I filled out an application with the rescue group and we'll probably have a home visit in the next week. We'll see if this laid back purr machine will match up with our cranky old kitteh.

Awwww! He's handsome. I have a female orange tabby named Alia. I swear orange tabbies have great temperments for cats. Alia's very sociable, very loveable.

What's really weird is how much he looks like my Dad's missing cat Orville. The one I was taking care of has disappeared while the neighbors were watching him.

I am not going to mention this to my dad. If it is the same cat, it would be wonderful to think that he had found such a good home.
