Something about the cold, about the time of year, makes me miss old friends and cigarettes and glasses of
bourbon. I'd like to be drinking and smoking and hanging out with Gene right now.

My first trip out of the house in ten days, and I seem to have picked up a cold from my contact with the teeming hordes. Lovely. I'm ready to be done with sickness and tiredness.

I'm getting old, because the excitement of my day was buying a robot to clean the floors. Now our Roomba has a friend Scooba.

Are you kidding? Old is " I bought a soda pop today, it tasted like hell ... they don't make em like they used to " ... not " I bought a robot that cleans my house today ". :)

Oh man, I bought a Coke the other day - it was one of the most disappointing dollars I've ever spent. It really did not taste good. I was sad.

But I do remember you polishing off most of a bottle of Crown Royal before being eaten by the couch with every light in the apartment on and the stereo at full volume! I think Melynda and I looked around for a good ten minutes before we found you.
