Gene and I talked the other night, and he stated money would soon be worthless. To that end, he bought a sofa, a dutch oven and a maple cutting board. I followed his example, purchasing an eight quart stock pot, a table cloth and a scoop. Then I ventured into Whole Foods in search of appealing beets, short ribs and other ingredients for borscht making. I was also excited to find sour cherries, for pie making! Happy day. Even the car dealership was painless. They changed my oil, rotated the tires and gave me a dark grey tank driver's cap. So now I must relax and eat some lunch while the butter softens for baking.
