Feb. 23rd, 2009 04:54 pmThe Berdoll Farms store off Highway 71, which sells many things but most importantly - pecans.

If you happen to drive by after the store is closed, they recently installed the most awesome vending machine. It was specially designed to hold pies, and takes credit cards as well as cash.

The Happy Water Tower is one of my favorite landmarks. Happy Water tower is happy!

Everything on this cake was made of sugar. (Except for the beer, which was real and we drank the next day.) It was this lush, dense amarretto cake with raspberry filling. I could have eaten it all.

Krista's cake had fondant decorations that matched the embroidery on her dress. It was all red velvet inside.

Kolaches in Ellinger, one of the most awesome places in Texas. I bought a Fayettville Brethern Church cookbook. (Apparently they were the first Protestant church in Texas.) Small town Texas Czech church cookbooks are full of deliciousness. I want to make ginger pear crumble.
