the sun is out, the sky is wide

Lovely day outside. Borrowed a colorful tank top and sunglasses from Melynda, and we sat around before she had to work. Bob and I headed to a nearby elementary school, flew a kite and sat on the swings. Beautiful sky, some wind, clouds and sunshine, trees and grass and gravel. Watched someone learn to drive in the parking lot. I made him watch A Clockwork Orange, as the boy who grew up with such advantages has never seen this film! I will fill the gaps in my friends' cultural knowledge. Everyone will see Kubrick films, listen to David Bowie and read Kafka.

turn up the stereo sound like water running down music into air and here I will stand wrapping my thoughts in silver strands into light and breath and quickness my dancing hands all over the keys whispering singing stories and dreams and the yearning in my heart that is always there that never leaves me my voice drowning in the whirl all these dreams the feel of skin and bone and flesh I keep dreaming
