plastic chairs should not be that much

Why is patio furniture so expensive? Seriously? I am not paying $200 to $400 for a plastic chair. A chair made of recycled plastic should not be $300. Argh. I just want some of those folding lounge chairs of my childhood, made with plastic tubing. I can't seem to find them though.

We're a two MINI household... I find it's easiest to just rent a truck at Home Depot. It costs about $20 for an hour and a half, which is enough time to pick up what I'm buying, take it home, and bring the truck back. We're right in strip mall suburbia, though... if your area is a bit more rural and the stores further apart, it might not work as well for you.

And yeah, powdered aluminum tubing, plastic straps. I have no clue where that style went, but I'd like it back, too.
