One of our new clients is Ticketmaster, and I have to say dealing with their stuff makes me boggle. It's fine to be sober or to not like beer. It's assinine and absurd to complain about people drinking beers at a Willie Nelson/Bob Dylan concert. Sometimes live music doesn't sound exactly like the album, and since when was rock music held to the exact repetition standards of a high school concert band? The guy who just wrote a 500 word review complaining that bands should perform their music note for note exactly the same way every time needs to loosen up or he may constrict all the blood out of his veins. Dude.

Is Scott Weiland back with Stone Temple Pilots since Velvet Revolver kicked him out for his drug habit? Huh. Also, there's an amazing amount of mainline pop music that all sounds so bad and I can only blame American Idol. Lyrnyrd Skynyrd is opening for Kid Rock? And why is New Kids On The Block even touring?I feel like the world has gone a sugar and cocaine induced spasm.

NKOTB put out a new album last year. They're capitalizing on the nostalgia epidemic currently plaguing our society, and frankly I can't blame them. I also sort of wish I could go see them. There are times in my life when I just need to do the "You Got the Right Stuff" dance.

Are you disturbed by my New Kids love?

Ever so slighty, yes. But I suppose it could be worse - you could be deeply infatuated with the Nelson twins.

I LOVE NELSON!!

Or, at least, I love that one song they had.

Actually I can completely understand the complaint about it not sounding like the album. Was just hearing about that recently, in commentary about MJ... how music since the early 80s is so over-produced, and the goal is to make it sound amazing in the studio, through techniques that aren't always reproducible live. And part of MJ's charm was his performances DID sound exactly like the album, which is part of why people percieved him as being so incredible.

I agree, it definitely makes sense is hyper-produced pop music. (And for Billy Corgan's weasal voice.) The complaint just struck me as really odd for old school rock music. (I think this was a review of Earth Wind & Fire or Eric Clapton)

One would think that beer would/could be the least of someone's concerns at a Willie/Dylan double bill... ;)
