Ugh, sick, thanks to people sharing their delightful germs. I hate the feeling of coughing. Since I don't have tonsils anymore, the place they used to be hurts with phantom pain and the real pain all seems to wind up in my ears. Lovely.

Today will not be productive. Today I can't even look at the news about Maine without wanting to vomit.

Those who wanted the bill repealed outspent the good people by 4 to 1. The Roman Catholic diocese alone spent more in opposition to civil rights than did those who support them and more than $1M (50% of those who wanted to repeal civil rights spending) was trucked in from out of state groups.

We need to step it up.

But, you know, you'd think we wouldn't have to spend money to convince people that civil rights should apply to all...

Yeah, I know what you mean RE: Maine. What the hell? That they successfully used the idea that homosexuality is somehow child-threatening just made me all the more disgusted.
