Thoughts on grief by
dsmoen
One friend lost a spouse and another lost a grandmother last night. So much sadness.
I am making black bean and ham soup. It's cold outside. They are predicting snow (hah!) for Friday.
I bought a copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and a Spanish translation of Where The Wild Things Are at B&N. The store assists a program with the women's prisons here. The program records women reading to their children, then gives the recording and the book to the child to take home. It's a popular program, encouraging the women to be positive presences in the lives of their children.
Squishable T-Rex! He was designed with help from Dinosaur Comics, which I know some of you love.
According to the Squishable newsletter, the most popular squishables of 2009 are:
1: Squishable Panda
2: Squishable Octopus
3: Squishable Penguin
4: Squishable Sheep
5: Squishable Cow
