threeplusfireThe only decent thing about insomnia in this season is that it stays darker longer. I am not blinded at 6:30am with the fresh light of the sun. I can just grumble about the living room in the multi-hued glow of the tree.
Maybe it was the steak sandwich at the Ritz. (Slowly, slowly I am working red meat back into my diet because damn I do get tired of chicken.) Maybe it was the Kahlua laced hot chocolate I burned my tongue on afterwards, though that was tasty and comforting. Who knows? I grow weary of this and miss the days when I ate anything without a pang. This entire situation with the gall bladder removal has made me feel not young anymore.
Wait, I know what it really is. My livejournal is ten years old today. What started out of boredom in the waning days of my first dot com adventure has become a decade long habit.
