I think I'll end up having read sixty two or sixty three books for the year. It doesn't seem like enough, when there are so many, many books to read. As well as all the ones I want to read again. My list is at 61 right now, but I'm halfway through one of the paperbacks I bought my father for Christmas. I feel as though I've read a novel's worth of words over on the Yuletide archives as well during the past couple days. I find the bookmark feature of AO3 quite handy. You can see what stories I've read and really liked here in my bookmark page.

I have to point out the Madness gift to me, Absolute Destiny Metalocalypse: Curry Take. This is especially hilarious if you know Revolutionary Girl Utena. I laughed so much I had hiccups.

For some reason, this time of the year always makes me want to watch a ton of anime. I'm watching episodes of DEath Note sporadically. Maybe I'll watch Patlabor while I work this afternoon. It's hard to go wrong with anything involving giant robots.

I'll end the year right around 50 books. I regularly used to manage 80-100 a year, but when I started gardening, I suddenly lost a lot of time for that.


I track my reading lists on Goodreads - do you use that too?

I have a couple friends who do, but I am lazy. I just keep a post marked for the last day of the year and list them there.
