Fuck you University of Texas. You just gave Mack Brown another huge raise but you need to close the Cactus Cafe for "budget reasons?" Fuck you. I really don't want to hear it. Yes yes football brings in lots of dollars to the university but it sure doesn't help outside the athletics department. Ugh.

I hate to ask this but... when was the last time you went to a Cactus show? I've been there recently, but only once all of last year. I know many people who really like the Cactus, but I get damn few invites to go see shows there ... only three in the 10 years I've lived in Austin.

It doesn't close until August. It may be that the decision can be reversed if the venue starts making a profit. That means selling out a show every weekend.
