I'm glad I'm not on skis

Whatever I did, I wish I knew exactly what it was. My shoulder is on fire with pain, like I pulled a muscle. It didn't hurt like this when I first was up and about, but by mid afternoon I couldn't lift my arm without wanting to fall over. So far I have not really found any comfortable position.

The Norwegians are a vocal, loud group of Olympic supporters. I need to catch up on my Olympic watching. Television trouble, annoying NBC commentary and a video conference that was more of an audio conference put me behind for today. The snowboard cross is interesting, since reducing the airtime is key to the race. Though the guy's comment about snowboarding being like riding a Pegasus unicorn hybrid into sunshine and rainbows was sort of out there. Hah.

You mentioned cleaning yesterday... maybe you did something to your shoulder then, and it just took a while to develop the soreness?

That's the only thing I can remotely imagine doing it - though it is all in my left shoulder and that's not the side I use for tasks like scrubbing the windows. Weird. Ow.

I wonder if it's safe to snowboard while you're high.

I think being high must be a prerequisite for one to think snowboard cross racing is in any way safe! It's nutty looking.
