threeplusfireThe local news is reporting on that hateful man's last exchange with air traffic controllers. He told them "Have a great day." Just a few minutes later, he slammed his plane into the building.
They are also reporting that the airport is missing a drum of fuel and seats were taken out of the plane. They think that is why the fire spread so far. A guy driving to work stopped and ran to the building with his ladder to help get people out. People saw the plane coming straight at them, and raised the alarm. The plane hit an office that was empty. The road will be closed for at least several more days.
I try to take my mind off this by watching the Olympics. I did a lot of work today. My back has mostly stopped hurting. Tomorrow I may even be able to bend over without getting spasms, so I can do the laundry. The cat is trying to steal my heating pad. My new food fascination is salad with fruit in it. I feel unfocused. I want my new glasses to get here.

Date: 2010-02-20 04:56 am (UTC)in other news, try baby spinach, candied pecans, strawberry slices and oil/vinaigrette...it'll change your life. i had that all summer after cate turned me onto it, and i still do it once or twice a month for a couple of days at a time (until i exhaust the ingredients). friggin' delightful.
