BPAL

Anyone who thinks it would be better for BPAL to lay off an employee than have a $2 price increase on the price of a bottle of perfume is a complete fucking moron. Not even just a moron - an entitled asshole.

I find a small business committed to paying its employees a fair wage AND providing health & dental insurance for them admirable. The BPAL team also does a lot of charitable giving through the sale of certain blends on their site. They make a pretty unique, quality product that is unbelievably inexpensive for what it is. They provide excellent customer service, and are pretty transparent about their business.

I really, really agree. I was shocked when I first saw their prices. A two dollar increase in the face of upwards of $50 for good department store perfumes is nothing.

People suck.

I know! As far as personal indulgences go, this one is quite reasonable. I've seen people pay more for lipstick.

Oh good grief, where did that show up?

One of those threads on the Sin & Salvation community is where I saw it.

Ah. I am not a member there - too many drama flare-ups.

But yes, that's one selfish and cold person to suggest it.

God forbid they behave like the BUSINESS that they are, apparently? Jesus.

Seriously. I thought we were supposed to encourage businesses like this one.

Two dollars! So they can keep treating their employees like human beings! I am so very much not feeling the outrage.

Isn't this exactly the sort of business decision we want to encourage? Valuing employees over commodities? Call me crazy.

Seriously! And Morocco smells so delicious.
