Nothing tells me more that I must be getting old than waking up from a weird carousel of nightmares, after one tiny beer, a show and queso at Kerbey in the middle of the night. It was a blitz of hospitals, blood, psychological tests, middle of nowhere fairgrounds.

We went to the Cash Bash, a birthday celebration for the Man in Black at Emo's last night. It was pretty entertaining, with some good bands. There were a couple of painters in the back, working on big canvases. One had a black and white close up of Cash's face, the other was doing the saintly style, floating on a cloud Man in Black.

I have leftover Kerbey Lane pancakes for breakfast. I don't know why, but these pancakes are the best things in the whole world.

I was plying handspun yarn from the time I got home last night - 9:30ish - until two in the morning. (I'm not a confident plier so once I started I didn't want to stop.) My dreams had twisting yarns and the Navajo loop hand motions that had become ingrained before I went to bed. I think there was some sort of horror movie going on in the background (don't look under the rug in the cellar) but the plying went on regardless.

We should celebrate the end of my Ravelympic craziness with sushi sometime this week! I have a dentist appt on Tuesday and host knitting on Thursday... would any other days work for you?

Monday is the best day, since I have no work at all that day, if that suits. Mmmm sushi to celebrate Olympic achievements.
