Damn. I just watched Hard Candy for the first time ever, after meaning to for ages and ages. Holy shit, the intensity. I thought it was fantastic. I haven't' felt so uncomfortable and tense since I watched The Road. And wow, the color, the color.

I've seen meaning to see it. Every time that I think about that guy playing Dan Dreiberg in Watchmen, I make the o_O face.

It's the only film to make me leave the cinema (although I did come back). I felt sick during the 'castration' scene and had to go recover in the toilet. The only other film that came close was Irreversible.

That was one of the most intense moments. I felt kind of like I did at the end of Dancer in the Dark, where I wanted to leap out of my seat and run away.

I haven't seen Irreversible. I will have to put that in my queue.
