anxiously

I only wish I could travel like hoverball cat.

We're leaving tomorrow for a week of driving. Mike wrote an LJ reading app for my phone, so hopefully I can keep up with things. We are driving instead of flying, because the last few times I've flown it has been profoundly physically uncomfortable and/or I've become quite sick. Going to the airport is absurd, sometimes agonizing.

Lately I've been watching American Gothic. What a weird, weird little show. Also, Southland is the best thing on television right now. The writing is just so good. The show is visceral and gritty without being soul crushing, and has some of the most well developed characters ever. It's totally brilliant and I don't know why you are watching anything else.

I am deeply, awfully sad that I am going to miss the Corey Haim memorial showing of Lost Boys. Damn it all - I can't believe I'm going to miss this because of family obligations. This is one of my all time favorite movies, and Corey Haim! I am sad, sad, sad.

Now I want a fleet of hoverball cats to do my evil bidding!

American Gothic ended too soon. Lucas Black was such a great actor for being so young at the time.

I loved American Gothic. It was one of those shows that marked my teenage years profoundly. Unfortunately, when I tried to purchase it on DVD, I went through 4 different copies before giving up - each and every one skipped. Bad craftsmanship, I guess. Still, it made me sad.
